Eventbrite and Ticketmaster

Goals

To identify how many U.S. citizens of each gender are between the ages of 16 and 35 and the ages of 16 and 55 and to identify the average number of daily users for Eventbrite and Ticketmaster.

Early Findings

  • The census bureau estimates that there are 10,744,908 males ages 15-19 in the U.S. as of 2018. If we assume that there are approximately the same number of people in each 1-year band, then we can calculate that there are about 2,148,982 15 year old males (10,744,908/5), leaving 8,595,926 males aged 16 to 19 years (10,744,908-2,148,982).
  • The census bureau also estimates that there are 11,201,547 males aged 20 to 24, 12,018,838 males aged 25 to 29 and 11,191,871 males aged 30 to 35 in the U.S. as of 2018. Based on this information, there are an estimated 43,008,182 males ages 16-35 (8,595,926 + 11,201,547 + 12,018,838 + 11,191,871) in the U.S.
  • The census bureau estimates that there are 10,322,313 females ages 15-19 in the U.S. as of 2018. If we assume that there are approximately the same number of people in each 1-year band, then we can calculate that there are about 2,064,463 15 year old females (10,322,313/5), leaving 8,257,850 females aged 16 to 19 years (10,322,313-2,064,463).
  • The census bureau also estimates that there are 10,672,032 females aged 20 to 24, 11,542,918 females aged 25 to 29 and 10,944,147 females aged 30 to 35 in the U.S. as of 2018. Based on this information, there are an estimated 41,416,947 females ages 16-35 (8,257,850 + 10,672,032 + 11,542,918 + 10,944,147) in the U.S.
  • The census bureau estimates that there are 127,910,021 males over the age of 16 and 23,306,818 males over the age of 65 in the U.S. as of 2018. Therefore, the number of males between the ages of 16 and 65 is calculated to be 104,594,203 (127,910,021-23,306,818).
  • The census bureau estimates that there are 134,230,751 females over the age of 16 and 29,124,375 females over the age of 65 in the U.S. as of 2018. Therefore, the number of males between the ages of 16 and 65 is calculated to be 105,106,376 (134,230,751-29,124,375).
