American Association of University Women

•  The American Association of University Women (AAUW) offers career development grants.
• The grant is offered to "women who hold a bachelor’s degree and are preparing to advance or change careers or reenter the workforce".
• Women of color or "women pursuing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields" receive the primary consideration.
• The grants range from $2,000 – $12,000 USD and help to support course work beyond a bachelor’s degree as well as "specialized training in technical or professional fields at an accredited U.S. university".
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

American Society of Nephrology

•  The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) provides career development grants to help fund "young faculty to foster evolution to an independent research career".
• The eligibility requirements include:
• Must be working in North America or Central America.
• An active member of ASN.
• Have an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree.
• Cannot be a previous recipient of an ASN grant.
• "Cannot be a previous recipient of a National Institutes of Health full R01 grant, VA Merit Award, or equivalent."
• Be within seven years of initial faculty appointment.
• Have an independently proposed project.
• The amount of the grant is a total of $200,000 USD that is dispersed annually for two years (so $100,000 USD per year).
