Cordless Mixer Research

Goals

Determine the market viability of a cordless mixer for commercial clients, including if there are any similar products currently on the market and what the price point for such a product would be.

Early Findings

  • The research team did not find any commercial grade handheld cordless mixers currently on the market.
  • We were able to find multiple commercial grade cordless immersion blenders, some with whisk attachments.
  • The immersion blenders range from $100-$1,000, with the majority costing between $200-$1,000.  
  • The global hand blender market size was USD 229.2 million in 2018. Corded blenders hold 75% of the market, however, "Cordless products are gaining popularity owing to the ease of use and convenience associated with the devices. Manufacturers are developing high rating label batteries as these devices require high voltage."
  • There are household cordless handheld mixers available on the market, like the Cordless 7 Speed Hand Mixer from Kitchen Aid, priced at $99.99.
  • When the research team reviewed product reviews of commercial mixers, the main concerns were horsepower, size, attachments, and speed.
