Global OTC Medicine Restrictions

Goals

To assist with building a database which provides country-specific recommended medicine for travelers, understand which over-the-counter (OTC) medications are banned in various countries, as well as details on required vaccinations.

Early Findings

  • The requested data for Australia has been completed in the attached spreadsheet.
  •  Partial data for Indonesia and Japan has also been completed.
  • Of the initial countries we researched, only Japan has specific restrictions on some OTC drugs being brought into the country by travelers.
