Target Audience

• As they transitioned into social media, they targeted the intent-driven audience (IDA). These are individuals that have demonstrated search intent. With the help of Kensho, HostGator targets them with Facebook and Instagram adverts. 
• Out of this general IDA pool, the team created lookalike audiences in order to identify high quality leads. Lastly, the team excluded the IDA from those within the marketing campaigns to ensure that there is no audience over-lap.
• These measures will ensure that the marketing efforts are efficient.
• HostGator leverages Kenshoo Pixel in order to have a clearer understanding of the customer journey.
• The use of IDA has resulted in a 40% lower cost per acquisition.
