Overview on Bank Branch Managers in the U.S.

  • A bank branch manager is "responsible for all of the functions of that office, including hiring employees, overseeing the approval of loans and lines of credit (LOC), marketing, building a rapport with the community to attract business, assisting with customer relations, and ensuring that the branch meets its goals and objectives in a timely manner."

Summary of Findings

  • In this first hour of research, we determined that information on the profile of bank branch managers is relatively available. We were able to find information on income levels, education, and skills specific to bank branch managers. We also inferred information about age, race, and gender of bank branch managers based on available information about financial managers. We used this inference because, banking is one of the most common industries employing financial managers.
  • We have assumed a U.S. focus. If a broader approach is desired, for example, a global focus, this would have to be clearly communicated to us in any reply.
