Obtain information on the largest commodity brokers of honey both in the U.S. and globally. Determine also the top five largest commercial buyers of honey both in the U.S. and globally. The information will be used to determine the feasiblity of sourcing honeycomb and who will be averse or supportive of this business.

  •  Barkman Honey is one of the major players in the U.S. honey market.
  • Barkman Honey has an estimated revenue of $18 million.  
  •  Barkman Honey sources its honey from its bee farmds in several states such as Kansas and Oregon.
  • The company sells its honey under the Busy Bee, Naked Wild Honey, Pure ‘N Simple, and Thrifty Bee brands.
  • A 12-ounce Busy Bee honey costs $4.18.

  • Our one hour of research provided some of the top companies that are involved in sourcing and selling honey.
  • However, most of the companies do not provide the amount of honey that they handle, their supply chain, and the full details of their pricing.
  • We then propose the next steps below based on these initial findings.
