Best-Selling Memoir Editors

Goals

To obtain a list of 4-5 US-based editors who have edited memoirs that became best-sellers. Identifying editors who reside in the Philadelphia/New York area is desired; however, this is not mandatory. This research would be used in hiring an editor.

Early Findings

Chris Jackson - "Born a Crime" Chris Jackson edited "Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood", a best-selling memoir that has sold over 5 million copies.
Jackson can be found on Twitter @cjaxone. He lives in New York.
Molly Stern Molly Stern edited "Becoming", Michelle Obama’s memoir, a book that "sold more than two million copies in just 15 days after its initial release, making it the best-selling book of 2018."
As of March 2019, the memoir had sold 10 million copies. She can be found on LinkedIn here.
Stern is currently located in the Greater New York City Area.
