the National Association of Realtors reported 1.3 million realtors in the US. This was an increase from the 1.22 million realtors reported in March 2017.
The average realtor had

, and most typically was an independent contractor affiliated with an independent company.
Most realtors are full time, working on average

Realty was most often a second career, with only

having real estate as their first profession.
The average transactions for a realtor was
