UX Design Companies in North America and Europe

Goals

To estimate the number of companies in Europe with at least 1 UX designer from any information or data that is recent and publicly available with a focus on Western Europe.

Early Findings

We were unable to find one statistic for Western Europe in our research to determine the number of companies with at least 1 UX designer for this region. Therefore, we gathered information from data that was the most recent and publicly available by country. Here are the key pieces of information we found:
UX Design Companies in North America and Europe:Western EuropeThere are approximately 10,000 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer in the United Kingdom.
There are approximately 4,000 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer in France.
 Germany has approximately 3,000 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer. 
There are approximately 3,000 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer in Spain.
 The Netherlands has approximately 3,000 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer.
There are approximately 2,000 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer in Italy.
There are approximately 1,000 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer in Ireland.
 Belgium has approximately 900 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer.
 Portugal has approximately 800 UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer.
Therefore, an estimated number of UX design companies with at least 1 UX designer in Western Europe that includes specific estimates from the countries of: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, and Portugal is approximately 27,700.
